    • Use the online form to schedule, or call or text for a Standard or After-Hours appointment.

  • To ensure a smooth appointment

    • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID.

    • Make sure documents are complete but unsigned.

    • I’ll meet you at your home, office, hospital, or another agreed location.

    • Travel within Sioux Falls city limits included.

    • I verify identity, witness signatures, and complete the notarization.

    • Every appointment is logged and sealed for full compliance.

  • Payment is collected at the conclusion of the appointment. I accept multiple convenient methods and provide a receipt if you’d like one.

  • The $80 package covers:

    • Travel anywhere within Sioux Falls city limits, and

    • Up to 2 notarizations.

    Additional notarizations at the same appointment are $20 each.
    💡 Example: If you need 4 notarizations, the total would be $120 ($80 base + $40 additional).

  • The old $10 maximum was repealed in 2025 because lawmakers recognized that inflation and rising travel costs made the cap unsustainable. Notaries are now free to set rates that reflect the true cost of service.
    At On the Dot Notary, we charge $20 to reflect the professional responsibility involved in each notarization, while still keeping services affordable compared to national mobile notary rates.

  • For appointments outside the city limits, I charge the $80 package plus mileage at $2.00 per mile (round trip). This ensures fairness while still keeping my services accessible for nearby towns.

  • No — by law, notaries cannot provide legal advice or draft documents. My role is to verify identity and witness signatures, ensuring documents are properly notarized. If you have legal questions, please consult an attorney.

  • I accept:

    • Cash

    • Business checks made out to On the Dot Notary - personal checks not accepted

    • Digital payments Venmo Business and PayPal Business

    Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Yes! I understand urgent situations come up. Rush or after-hours services do include a small additional fee — please call me directly to check availability.

    • Cancellations made 12+ hours in advance → No fee.

    • Cancellations made less than 12 hours in advance → 50% of the package fee is due.

    • If signer(s) or valid ID are missing at the appointment → The full package fee is due.

    • No-shows (15+ minutes late without notice) → The full package fee is due.

    This policy ensures fairness while respecting both your time and mine.
