1. General Information
On the Dot Notary provides mobile notary services in Sioux Falls, SD, and surrounding areas. All services are performed in compliance with South Dakota notary laws. Please note that we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice. If you require legal guidance, please consult a licensed attorney.
2. Appointment Scheduling
Appointments must be confirmed in advance, including date, time, location, and type of documents. All signers must be present at the appointment with valid, government-issued photo identification.
3. Fees & Payment
Our current notary fee schedule is published on our website. Fees are due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept cash, business checks, and approved digital payment methods. Personal checks not accepted. Card payments coming soon. Transparent pricing is part of our commitment to professionalism.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 12+ hours in advance → No fee.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours in advance → 50% of the package fee is due.
If signer(s) or valid ID are unavailable at the appointment → The full package fee is due.
No-shows (15+ minutes late without notice) → The full package fee is due.
All outstanding fees must be paid before rescheduling. This policy ensures our time and travel expenses are respected.
5. Travel & Service Area
Packages include travel within the city limits of Sioux Falls, SD. Travel outside of Sioux Falls city limits is subject to additional mileage fees as listed in our Fee Schedule. For safety, On the Dot Notary reserves the right to decline travel to unsafe or restricted locations.
6. Document & Signer Requirements
All documents must be complete before the notarial act. We cannot notarize incomplete or blank documents.
Signers must be able to communicate directly with the notary in English and demonstrate awareness and willingness.
The notary reserves the right to refuse notarization if legal requirements are not met.
7. Limitation of Liability
On the Dot Notary’s responsibility is limited to verifying identity, willingness, and awareness of signers, and completing the notarial act. We are not liable for the legal content of documents, improper document preparation, or misuse of notarized documents.
8. Privacy & Confidentiality
All personal information and documents are handled in strict confidence. We do not sell or share client data. Records are maintained in accordance with South Dakota state law.
9. Policy Updates
On the Dot Notary reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
